Vincent Barry is a co-founder and Director of ICD Business School. He was educated at Dublin Institute of Technology and The Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, University College Dublin. He is also a Graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland. He enjoys all sports, music and travel, he is a Chelsea football supporter and therefore was disappointed last year. He is currently trying to improve his Italian.
Joyce Zhao is the registrar of ICD Business School. Joyce graduated from Shanghai International Studies University with a Diploma in English. Joyce also holds a B.A.(Honours) in Business Studies from HETAC. She is also an Associate of the Chartered Management Institute. More recently Joyce completed a course in Approved Prior Learning (APL) with The Dublin Institute of Technology. Joyce is fluent in Mandarin, Shanghainese, Cantonese and English. She is now learning Italian. Joyce' hobbies include travel, reading and Italian food.
Professor Darach Turley We are pleased to announce that Professor Darach Turley has joined ICD Business School as the chair of our Academic Council. He has lectured and published in Europe and internationally in the fields of consumer behaviour and qualitative methods for many years. His publications have appeared in journals such as Human Relations, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, and the Journal of Strategic Marketing. In 2007 he was made a Fulbright scholar based at Georgetown University, Washington DC. He began his academic career in the Dublin Institute of Technology moving later to Dublin City University Business School where he served as Professor of Marketing. Students of ICD will benefit greatly from Professor Turley’s experience as teacher, supervisor and author. We would encourage all students to engage with Professor Turley during their studies at the college.
Shali Zhang is the Financial Executive of ICD Business School. Shali has a BA (Honours) in Accounting and Finance degree from HETAC and was the student of the year in her group. Shali also holds a Masters degree in Accounting and Finance. She enjoys yoga, dancing and hill walking. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
James O’Leary is a co-founder of ICD Business School. He graduated from The London School of Economics with a BSc in Economics. He also has an MSc in Economics from Birkbeck College, London University. He has a postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE) from London University’s Institute of Education. He has recently published the 4th Edition of ‘Make that grade – Economics’. James likes walking, reading, Arsenal football club and practising his Spanish linguistic skills.
Aileen Manto graduated from Galway – Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) with B.A. degree in Hotel & Catering Management in Galway. She also has a Master in Tourism Management in Dublin Institute of Technology. Aileen likes shopping, travel and music, she has many year work experience work in Germany and Japan. She also is fluent in German.
Tim McNultyB.A., M.Econ.SC, MMII, Barrister at Law,B.L. has been a lecturer in business and legal studies since 1994.
He specialises in International Marketing, Consumer Behaviour and Business Law. He is an active member of the Marketing Institute and is currently Chairman of the Morning Seminar Series.
He was nominated as Educator of the Year for 2007 All Ireland Marketing Awards. Tim has a number of interests which include music, theatre and sports. He has a strong interest in European political and economic affairs since his time studying at the European University Institute, Florence.
Janet Ward graduated from SCD Dun Laoghaire with a diploma in Multimedia and Web Development. She also has BSc (Multimedia) from The Swansea Metropolitan University. Janet likes design, and travelling and recently she organised a Charity Ball for cancer research in Ireland for which raised €9000.
Kevin O’Loughlin graduated from HETAC with a B.A. (Honours) in Business Studies. He has many years working experience in accounting, having been employed in one of Europe’s largest Telecoms Companies. Kevin likes driving (in particular motorbikes), yoga (he has been teaching yoga for many years) and all healthy pursuits
Paul Doherty is a qualified accountant and a member of the Association of Charted Certified Accountants (ACCA) the largest accountancy awarding body in the world. Paul likes travel, swimming and computer games.
Rufino Pernas Pérezis our facility manager, he hails from La Coruña in Spain. Rufino is responsible for the smooth running of the facilities in ICD Business School. If you have any issues regarding any facilities just contact Rufino. Rufino is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese. He enjoys cinema, sports and in particular Barcelona FC, so a winning combination…
