Our entrance requirements and the offer we make to you are designed to ensure that you have the necessary background knowledge, together with the ability and commitment to do well on the course. The qualifications are available to everyone who can achieve the required standard and are free from barriers which restrict access and progression.

 

• Higher National Diplomas Entry Requirements

Normally the college would expect prospective students to hold a secondary educational certificate including English and Mathematics. Please check application procedure for details.

• Degree Entry Requirements

                            
Selection of candidates is governed by the rules and regulations of the CAO (Central Applications Office) for the particular year of application. Please check www.cao.ie for details.

For those applicants who go for direct entry with ICD Business School, they need to have completed high school and obtained grades equivalent to two A levels at Grade "C" and four GCSE's which must include English and Maths or equivalent.  Please check application procedure for details.

• Postgraduate Programme Entry Requirements

 

The Masters in Accounting and Finance programme welcomes applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds.  All prospective learners must hold a recognised degree at honours level from an accredited higher educational institution or alternatively have equivalent Accredited Prior Learning. Each applicant for this programme will be assessed on an individual bases to determine the exact number of modules to be completed with and guidance/advice will be offered on a completion strategy for the programme.  Please check application procedure for details.

• English Language Requirements

 

For those applicants who come from a country where English is not a first language, they are required to hold an IELTS at minimum 6.0 or equivalent for all degree and postgraduate programme and IELTS at minimum 5.0 or equivalent for all Higher National Diplomas .
